The Paddock — Privacy Policy
The Paddock is a horse racing management game for Android. This policy explains what information the game and the services built into it collect, why, and the choices you have.
Your career stays on your phone
Your career is stored only on your device. This includes your stable, horses, races, money and the owner name you choose. We do not upload it to our servers. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
Information collected through services in the game
The game uses the following Google services. Each one collects some information automatically when you play.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows rewarded and interstitial ads.
- What AdMob collects: your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
- Why: to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud.
- Your choice: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time with PRIVACY OPTIONS on the main menu. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)
Firebase Analytics records how the game is used:
- that the app was opened
- session length
- that a notification was received or opened
- the device model, operating system, app version and country
It uses an app instance ID, not your name. We use these figures to understand how many people play and how to improve the game.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the game crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report: where in the game it happened, the device model, operating system, free memory and an installation ID. We use these reports only to find and fix errors.
Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
The game registers your device for notifications we send to all players, such as news about a new season. This uses a messaging token, not your name. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
Purchases (Google Play)
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive confirmation of what was bought so the game can credit it. We never see your payment details.
Ratings (Google Play In-App Review)
After a big win, the game may ask Google Play to show its rating card, once. Your rating and review go to Google Play, not to us.
Network time
To apply the daily ad limit fairly, the game reads the current date from a Google web server. No personal information is sent.
Information you give us: race sponsorship
If you buy the race sponsorship package, you enter a sponsor name (up to 40 characters) and an email address. They are sent to our Firebase database. We use them only to name a race after the sponsor and to contact you about it. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell them. If the purchase is made offline, they are kept on your device until they can be sent.
Sharing
- We do not sell personal information.
- The data described above is processed by Google as the provider of AdMob, Firebase and Google Play, under Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- AdMob uses its data for advertising as described in that policy.
Security
All data sent by the game travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Retention and deletion
- Firebase Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
- Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
- Sponsorship details are kept until the sponsored race has been named and any questions are resolved.
To have your sponsorship details or other data linked to you deleted, email info@panpasoft.com.
Children
The Paddock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. The latest version is always available on this page.
